"They that sit in the gate talk of me; And [I am] the song of the drunkards." — Psalms 69:12 (ASV)

In the gate ... — The public gathering place where justice was administered. .

And I was the song. — Literally, and songs of those drinking strong drink, but we must supply the pronoun.
