"For Jehovah heareth the needy, And despiseth not his prisoners." — Psalms 69:33 (ASV)

For the Lord. — This and the following verses evidently bring the psalm within the circle of literature, of which Isaiah 65:17 and following, is the noblest example — the literature inspired by the hope of the restoration and of the rebuilding of Jerusalem.
