Charles Ellicott Commentary

Charles Ellicott Commentary
"But as for me, my feet were almost gone; My steps had well nigh slipped." — Psalms 73:2 (ASV)
Slipped. —Literally, were poured out. This metaphor for weakness and instability is obvious. Compare.
“Dissolvuntur enim tum demum membra fluuntque.”
Lucretius, 4.920.
