"And he built his sanctuary like the heights, Like the earth which he hath established for ever." — Psalms 78:69 (ASV)

He built. —The first clause is vague, but evidently the poet is drawing attention to the grandeur and solidity of the Temple. Perhaps, high as heaven — firm as earth.
