"Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to render to each man according as his work is." — Revelation 22:12 (ASV)

And, behold, I come quickly . . .—Rather, Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me to give back to each one as his work is. To give back to each: here we have the truth declared by St. Paul uttered in words borrowed from Isaiah (Isaiah 40:10). Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap, wrote St. Paul (Galatians 6:7–8): God gives back to each one his work, says St. John.
