SCRIPTURE

"And he saith unto me, See thou do it not: I am a fellow-servant with thee and with thy brethren the prophets, and with them that keep the words of this book: worship God." — Revelation 22:9 (ASV)

Then he says to me . . .—Better, And he says to me, See (or, Take heed) not. I am a fellow servant of you and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book; worship God (or, to God give worship). This rebuke is similar to that given in Revelation 19:10. It is a wide affirmation of the truth that all—whether angels, or prophets, or simple faithful followers of Christ—are united in a grand bond of common devotion and common service to the same Lord.
