SCRIPTURE

"For if the casting away of them [is] the reconciling of the world, what [shall] the receiving [of them be], but life from the dead?" — Romans 11:15 (ASV)

Reconciling of the world.—The gospel could not be preached to the Gentiles until it had first been offered to and rejected by the Jews. Hence the casting away of the Jews might be said to have caused the reconciling of the rest of the world.

Life from the dead.—The reconversion of the Jews will be a signal to inaugurate that reign of eternal life which will be ushered in by the resurrection from the dead.
