SCRIPTURE

"Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found favor in thy sight, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a foreigner?" — Ruth 2:10 (ASV)

A stranger. —A foreigner. Note, however, that the Moabite language, though having its own peculiarities, really differed very little from Hebrew, as can be seen, for instance, from the famous inscription of King Mesha discovered in the land of Moab in 1868.
