Charles Ellicott Commentary Zechariah 4:11

"Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive-trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?" — Zechariah 4:11 (ASV)

Then answered I...—The prophet is not yet quite satisfied as to the meaning of the vision; he desires to know why there are two olive trees. For until now only Zerubbabel has been mentioned, and he could hardly be represented by two olive trees.
