Charles Ellicott Commentary
"and oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the sojourner, nor the poor; and let none of you devise evil against his brother in your heart." — Zechariah 7:10 (ASV)
And let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.—Better, and imagine not evil against one another in your heart. The Septuagint, (καὶ κακίαν ἕκαστος τοῦ), and the Authorized Version are here grammatically incorrect, the pronoun here not being the nominative (as it is in Zechariah 8:17) but the objective case, as is shown by the collocation.
