"For behold your calling, brethren, that not many wise after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, [are called]:" — 1 Corinthians 1:26 (ASV)
For you see your calling, brothers, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
There are a few such. Remember how the Countess of Huntingdon used to say that she was very thankful for that letter "m," for it does not say "not any noble," but "not many noble are called."
