Charles Spurgeon Commentary 1 Corinthians 11:12

"For as the woman is of the man, so is the man also by the woman; but all things are of God." — 1 Corinthians 11:12 (ASV)

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

That is to say, Christ visible–the Church of Christ. We are members of his mystical body. He is the Head; but all who are given life by the Spirit of God are one with him.
