Charles Spurgeon Commentary 1 Corinthians 3:8-9

"Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: but each shall receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are God`s fellow-workers: ye are God`s husbandry, God`s building." — 1 Corinthians 3:8-9 (ASV)

And every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

The church is built up. God is he who builds it up – the master of the work, but he employs his ministers under him to be builders.
