SCRIPTURE

"And he that keepeth his commandments abideth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he gave us." — 1 John 3:24 (ASV)

And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

If he has given us the Spirit of Christ, then Christ himself is in us; if he has given us the Spirit of love, that also is the evidence that Christ himself abides in us. Oh, for more of that blessed Spirit in every one of us!

And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Though this great truth of our dwelling in God, and God dwelling in us, is a great mystery, it is a mystery about which we need not be in doubt if we will learn from the Holy Spirit what he delights to teach us.

And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Holy Spirit, dwell in me, and teach me the meaning of this precious Word, for Christ's sake! Amen.
