Charles Spurgeon Commentary 1 John 4:3-4

"and every spirit that confesseth not Jesus is not of God: and this is the [spirit] of the antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it cometh; and now it is in the world already. Ye are of God, [my] little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world." — 1 John 4:3-4 (ASV)

And this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children,

You who are trusting in Jesus, and are born again of his Spirit, though you may have only a small influence with others, and are only as little children in your own esteem, yet ye are of God.
