Charles Spurgeon Commentary 1 John 5:8

"For there are three who bear witness, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and the three agree in one." — 1 John 5:8 (ASV)

And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one (1 John 5:8).

Three candles in the room, but the light is one; three witnesses to our heart, but the witness is the same. If we have the witness of the Spirit, the water, and the blood, we know that we have received the truth.
