Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"Wherefore let them also that suffer according to the will of God commit their souls in well-doing unto a faithful Creator." — 1 Peter 4:19 (ASV)
The main point of the chapter is that we should prefer any suffering of the flesh to the sin of the spirit; and that we should be prepared to endure whatever trial or pain may come upon us for Christ's sake, and to undergo it joyfully, rather than to seek the pleasures of sin and to be plunged under the waves of the wrath of God. May He give us the grace to glorify Him in this way, for Christ's sake!
Amen.
