SCRIPTURE

"And David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David. And David inquired of Jehovah, saying, If I pursue after this troop, shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue; for thou shalt surely overtake [them], and shalt without fail recover [all]." — 1 Samuel 30:7-8 (ASV)

And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech's son, I pray you, bring me here the ephod. And Abiathar brought there the ephod to David. And David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for you shall surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.

The Hebrew reads, "Pursue, for overtaking you shall overtake, and recovering you shall recover;" that is to say, the work will be done perfectly, and so it was.
