"Wherefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as also ye do. But we beseech you, brethren, to know them that labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; and to esteem them exceeding highly in love for their work`s sake. Be at peace among yourselves." — 1 Thessalonians 5:11-13 (ASV)
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also you do. And we beseech you, brethren, to know those who labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.
Therefore, these apostolic churches had a ministry set over them in the Lord, and they were commanded to acknowledge these laborers for the Master, to recognize them as appointed by God to their ministerial position, and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake.
