"See that none render unto any one evil for evil; but always follow after that which is good, one toward another, and toward all." — 1 Thessalonians 5:15 (ASV)

See that none render evil for evil unto any man;

Not in any case. The world advises you to pay a man in his own coin, but if he pays you bad coin, he is wrong, and if you pay him bad coin there will be two wrongs. Do not do so.
