Charles Spurgeon Commentary 2 Corinthians 1:14

"as also ye did acknowledge us in part, that we are your glorying, even as ye also are ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus." — 2 Corinthians 1:14 (ASV)

That we are your rejoicing, even as you also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.

What a happy condition it is when the teacher and the taught mutually rejoice in each other; when the teacher is the joy of the flock, and when he can rejoice in his people! This is profitable to all; but when there are discords, fault-findings, and the like, this is neither glorifying to God nor profitable to the people.
