"as it is written, He that [gathered] much had nothing over; and he that [gathered] little had no lack." — 2 Corinthians 8:15 (ASV)
As it is written, He that had gathered much
Much manna
As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.
That was the law of the manna in the wilderness. Some people brought in much, for they had many children, and so it was all eaten up. Some brought in a little, but God multiplied it, so that there was no lack. So, if, in providence, God gives you a large supply of good things, share it among many needy people; and if He gives you only a small measure, be content, and do your best with it.
