SCRIPTURE

"Whether [any inquire] about Titus, [he is] my partner and [my] fellow-worker to you-ward, or our brethren, [they are] the messengers of the churches, [they are] the glory of Christ." — 2 Corinthians 8:23 (ASV)

Or our brethren be inquired of, they are the messengers of the churches and the glory of Christ.

This is the reply to any inquiry about the other brothers. They were probably poor men, humble men, plain preachers of the Word, yet Paul calls them "the glory of Christ."

What a wonderful thing it is that anyone should be the glory of Christ! An honest, upright character, a holy and gracious conduct, brings glory to Christ.

People say, "If that person is a follower of Christ, they do credit to their Master." Dear brothers and sisters, let us think of this; and if we are not the messengers of the churches, we may be "the glory of Christ."
