SCRIPTURE

"And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught hold of his feet. And Gehazi came near to thrust her away; but the man of God said, Let her alone: for her soul is vexed within her; and Jehovah hath hid it from me, and hath not told me." — 2 Kings 4:27 (ASV)

But Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone; for her soul is vexed within her: and the LORD hath hid it from me, and hath not told me.

Those ancient prophets of God had only limited knowledge. The Spirit of God taught them some things, but not all things, so Elisha was made to feel that he was only a man, even though the Spirit of God often spoke through him.

And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet:

As if she feared he might go away before she had poured into his ears the story of her grief.
