SCRIPTURE

"And he said, Go and see where he is, that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan. Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about. And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, a host with horses and chariots was round about the city. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?" — 2 Kings 6:13-15 (ASV)

And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan.

Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about. And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, beheld, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?

That is a question we have often asked: "How shall we do?" We shall do nothing at all. How shall we do? If that were the question, we might sit down in despair.

The proper question is, "How will God do? How will God deliver us?" But it is only the man of faith who thinks about God at all.

How many of you are in trouble and are wondering how you will get out of it. Poor things! Poor things! Oh, if we only had faith to look to that Omnipotent arm that is moving among us, and to that great and wise heart that is thinking of us, and then trust our case with him.
