SCRIPTURE

"And he prepared great provision for them; and when they had eaten and drunk, he sent them away, and they went to their master. And the bands of Syria came no more into the land of Israel." — 2 Kings 6:23 (ASV)

And he prepared great provision for them: and when they had eaten and drunk, he sent them away, and they went to their master.

Now mark the consequences.

So the bands of Syria came no more into the land of Israel.

No, they could not come any more to vex a people who had treated them so generously, and thus the man of God was master of the situation, his noble spirit was put to the front, and God was glorified.
