SCRIPTURE

"And now, O Lord Jehovah, thou art God, and thy words are truth, and thou hast promised this good thing unto thy servant: now therefore let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee; for thou, O Lord Jehovah, hast spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever." — 2 Samuel 7:28-29 (ASV)

And now, O Lord GOD, you are that God, and your words are true, and you have promised this goodness to your servant: Therefore now let it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever before you: for you, O Lord GOD, have spoken it:

There is that grand pleading again: You, O Lord GOD, have spoken it. If you can remind God of his own promise, you may have whatever you will of him; if he has said anything, his word will surely be fulfilled.
