Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with you all. The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write." — 2 Thessalonians 3:16-17 (ASV)
The Lord be with you all. The salutation of Paul with my own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.
I suppose he always wrote a part of each epistle. Probably, due to his failing eyesight, he was unable to write all of it with his own hands but employed one of his brothers to be his amanuensis. However, so that everyone might know the epistle to be genuine, there was always a little of Paul's writing, sometimes in large letters, as when he says to one church, You see how large a letter I have written to you with my own hand.
