Charles Spurgeon Commentary Acts 1:9-10

"And when he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they were looking stedfastly into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;" — Acts 1:9-10 (ASV)

Luke wrote before concerning the two men, in shining garments, who said to the women at the sepulcher, Why seek you the living among the dead? He is not here but is risen. These two men in white apparel now ask an equally appropriate question: Why stand you gazing up into heaven?
