SCRIPTURE

"But when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews with one accord rose up against Paul and brought him before the judgment-seat, saying, This man persuadeth men to worship God contrary to the law." — Acts 18:12-13 (ASV)

And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat. Saying, This fellow (Acts 18:12–13).

"This fellow," says our Bible, but they did not say that. They had not any word bad enough, so really said "this" –
