SCRIPTURE

"And it shall be, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." — Acts 2:21 (ASV)

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

What a glorious gospel verse this is! This is one of the great lifeboat texts of the Bible. He who can get into this boat shall certainly sail to glory in safety.

Whosoever – there is no exception of character, whatever his past life may have been. Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord – here are no hard conditions.

Prayer, trust, confession of that trust – all these make up calling upon the name of the Lord. And whoever shall do this not only may be, but shall be saved.

There is no perhaps, no doubt about it: Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
