"The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Servant Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied before the face of Pilate, when he had determined to release him." — Acts 3:13 (ASV)
The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Son Jesus; or, rather, as it is rendered in the Revised Version with more correctness, has glorified his Servant Jesus, for his Son may be said to be glorified already. But Jesus had taken upon himself the form of a servant, and God had glorified his Servant Jesus; –
