Charles Spurgeon Commentary Acts 9:20

"And straightway in the synagogues he proclaimed Jesus, that he is the Son of God." — Acts 9:20 (ASV)

And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.

How he must have startled his Jewish brothers that day! They knew why he had come to Damascus, but, indeed, he was preaching the very faith that he had gone there to destroy!
