"Therefore shall they now go captive with the first that go captive; and the revelry of them that stretched themselves shall pass away." — Amos 6:7 (ASV)

Whenever God does come forth to execute judgment upon the ungodly, he will first pick out those who have defied him the most.

Those who have the proudest spirit and the hardest heart will be the first to feel the strokes of his rod.
