SCRIPTURE

"having blotted out the bond written in ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us: and he hath taken it out that way, nailing it to the cross;" — Colossians 2:14 (ASV)

Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

"All the Mosaic ceremonials, from which you were shut out as Gentiles, are abolished. Christ has driven a nail through them and fastened them up to his cross." As, sometimes, a banker stamps through a cheque when it is paid, so has Christ cut through the very heart of all Jewish ordinances by what he has done for his people.
