Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"and might reconcile them both in one body unto God through the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: and he came and preached peace to you that were far off, and peace to them that were nigh: for through him we both have our access in one Spirit unto the Father." — Ephesians 2:16-18 (ASV)
Might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: and came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
There is the whole Trinity in that one verse, Christ, the Spirit, the Father. It needs the Trinity to make a Christian, and once you are a Christian, it needs the Trinity to make a prayer. You cannot pray a single prayer correctly without Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
