Charles Spurgeon Commentary Ezekiel 37:8

"And I beheld, and, lo, there were sinews upon them, and flesh came up, and skin covered them above; but there was no breath in them." — Ezekiel 37:8 (ASV)

So there was no very great improvement so far; there were only dead bodies instead of dry bones; there was something more to look at, but nothing more agreeable, and really no more life than there was before.
