But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
Well do I remember when I was shut up in this manner. I struggled and strove with might and main to get out, but I found no way of escape. I was shut up until faith came, and opened the door and brought me out into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
But he of the freewoman was by promise.
