Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"But I say, walk by the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh." — Galatians 5:16 (ASV)
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
Be obedient to that great principle of the Spirit which goes with the doctrine of grace and salvation by faith, and then you will not be obedient to that lusting of the flesh which is in you by nature.
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
Walk under the Spirit's power, following his guidance. The Spirit never leads anyone into sin. He never conducts them into self-indulgence and excess.
This I say then, walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
If your life is guided by the Spirit of God, — if you are spiritual men, and your actions are worked in the power of the Spirit, you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
