Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you. Of all that go out of the ark, even every beast of the earth." — Genesis 9:8-10 (ASV)
And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
Happy fowls, and happy cattle, and happy beasts of the earth to be connected with Noah, and to come under a covenant of preservation; and we — though only worthy to be typified by these creatures which God had preserved in the ark — are thrice happy to be in the same covenant with him who is our Noah, our rest, our sweet savour to God.
