SCRIPTURE

"Then spake Haggai Jehovah`s messenger in Jehovah`s message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith Jehovah." — Haggai 1:13 (ASV)

Then spoke Haggai the LORD’S messenger in the LORD’S message to the people, saying, I am with you, says the LORD. (Haggai 1:13)

Haggai was the Lord's messenger, so he did not utter his own words; but he spoke in the Lord's message to the people, saying, I am with you, says Jehovah.

He was with them, so they were with him; and it is the same with us if we are true believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, for He says to us, Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world (Matthew 28:20).

And if we have the presence of God, we have all that we need.

Then spoke Haggai the LORD’S messenger in the LORD’S message to the people, saying, I am with you, says the LORD.

Here was the best cheer for them. They had engaged in God’s business, and God would be with them.
