SCRIPTURE

"Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, But a body didst thou prepare for me;" — Hebrews 10:5 (ASV)

Therefore when he comes into the world,

That great HE—that Divine HE—our Saviour and our God.

when he comes into the world,”—

Wherefore when he cometh into the world, –

That is, the true Messiah, the Son of God, Jesus of Nazareth, our Redeemer: when he cometh into the world,

He says, –

According to Psalm 40:6-8, –

He says, Sacrifice and offering you would not, but a body have you prepared me:

By the work of the Holy Spirit within the Virgin Mary, the blessed body of Christ was prepared so that he should be God and man in one person, and so might bring an offering acceptable to God.
