Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin:" — Hebrews 12:4 (ASV)
You have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
Your battles have been nothing yet; you think yourselves martyrs.
What have you done? What have you suffered? What have you endured, compared with your Lord, compared with the saints of old?
You have not yet resisted to blood, striving against sin.
Paul reminds you that, in your wrestling, you may have to endure a still sterner struggle: You have not yet resisted to blood, striving against sin.
You have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
It has hardly come to blows and bruises yet – certainly not to bloody strokes. You have not lost blood yet for Christ.
