Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"It is for chastening that ye endure; God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is there whom [his] father chasteneth not? But if ye are without chastening, whereof all have been made partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons." — Hebrews 12:7-8 (ASV)
If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
You have not your Father's love; you are not recognized as an honorable member of his family.
