Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"For the bodies of those beasts whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest [as an offering] for sin, are burned without the camp. Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered without the gate. Let us therefore go forth unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach." — Hebrews 13:11-13 (ASV)
For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
Outside the gate, was the place of Christ's atoning death.
"Without the camp" is the place where his servants will find themselves most at home.
