SCRIPTURE

"Since then the children are sharers in flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner partook of the same; that through death he might bring to nought him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and might deliver all them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." — Hebrews 2:14-15 (ASV)

He also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

He took upon himself flesh and blood, so as to die in our nature, that he might thereby slay death and set us free from all fear of death. Do you not see that if the representative Man, Christ Jesus, died, he also rose again, and that, likewise, all who are in him will also rise? If you are in him, you will rise again. Therefore, do not fear to lie down in your last sleep, for the trumpet will awaken you, and your bodies will be molded anew like his glorious body, and your soul and body together will dwell in infinite bliss forever.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
