Charles Spurgeon Commentary

Charles Spurgeon Commentary
"Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, [even] Jesus;" — Hebrews 3:1 (ASV)
Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus.
If only we considered him more! He is supremely worthy of our perpetual consideration from all points of view. And the more you consider him, the more you can, for there is a depth and breadth about his wondrous personality, his work, and his offices well worthy of our deepest thought and admiring worship. Holy brothers, partakers of a heavenly calling, we do well to consider him.
Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus:
Oh, that He received more consideration from us! Consider Him; you cannot know all His excellence, all His value to you, unless He is the subject of your constant meditation. Consider Him; think of His nature, His offices, His work, His promises, His relation to you: Consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus.
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; (Hebrews 3:1)
Think of Him, think how great He is, think what attention He deserves from all who believe in Him.
