SCRIPTURE

"For he hath said somewhere of the seventh [day] on this wise, And God rested on the seventh day from all his works; and in this [place] again, They shall not enter into my rest." — Hebrews 4:4-5 (ASV)

For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.

There are many professing Christians who do not understand what it is to rest because the work of salvation is done; they do not even seem to know that the work is done. They do not understand that dying word of the Lord Jesus, It is finished. They think there is something still to be added to his work to make it effectual; but it is not so.
