"For he of whom these things are said belongeth to another tribe, from which no man hath given attendance at the altar." — Hebrews 7:13 (ASV)

According to the belief of the Jewish people, the Messiah was to come from the tribe of Judah, yet none from the house of David or from the tribe of Judah ever presumed to present themselves as priests of the order of God.
