Charles Spurgeon Commentary Isaiah 1:10

"Hear the word of Jehovah, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah." — Isaiah 1:10 (ASV)

Hear the word of the LORD, you rulers of Sodom; give ear to the law of our God, you people of Gomorrah.

Isaiah next goes on still further to expose the sin of the people; and, anticipating that they would say they had been very religious, had attended the means of grace, and had been observant of the outward ritual of God's sanctuary, he admits the truth of all this, and then shows what its real value is.
